Salt of the Earth [Salt] is a Christian Family-Friendly gaming community. Founded on the truths in the Bible, we are a community of helpers and friends. We are Christian and all our officers are Christians but we do not expect all of our members to be Christian. Our vision is to create a place where people of all ages can come to engage in clean Family-Friendly fun; Christians and non-Christians alike! We have a vision of a community made up of friends where Saltines can get to know each other on a personal level. Many friendships have been made in Salt that surpass just being dungeon buddies. Our community will be a place free from foul guild conversation and voice chat, free from inappropriate or sexual content and free from judgment. We want to love on each and every member and make them feel safe and wanted. One that can be real with each other, prays for each other, helps each other and reaches out to others. We want God to work in our community and we seek him in all things. We just know that He can do amazing things through those who seek him.
[Salt] is an ever-growing multi server Christian Family-Friendly guild in Guild Wars 2. Sitting at nearly 400 members we see an activity level of about 70+ every day. We have 2 guild halls thanks to our second shell guild Salted with Fire [Salt]. This second guild is in no way independent of our base guild, but allows us to have a second guild hall: Gilded Hollow AND Isle of Reflection. Our peak time is around 8:00pm CST and all our events are based around that time. Though that is our most active time it is almost impossible to be the only one online, there are always other Saltines to chat or play with. We have numerous events every week including WvW (Sanctum of Rall), Raids, PvE nights and fractals. We love to do events and love to do them with our fellow Saltines; we want to use these events to spread the word of God. Don’t worry if you’re new to an event our event leaders all know their events really well and we love teaching those who are new!
We believe that God has a place in the gaming world and we pray that He will use us to be a light in these communities. We have been so abundantly blessed by the Lord and are continually amazed by His provision and the many friends that He has brought to us. We want God to work in His boundless miraculous ways!
Guild Wars 2
Salt’s ranking system gets its names from concepts found in Luke 12:42 as those who are entrusted with responsibility. The primary guild roles are separated into the following three categories:
Leadership: Chief Stewards, Stewards, and Proven Stewards
Guild Industry: Artisans and Devoted
Members: Saltines and Allies
Descriptions:
– Chief Stewards ~ Guild Leaders
– Stewards ~ Officers with an active sphere of responsibility to lead Salt within a specific game mode and to be the representatives and advocates in leadership discussions for the Salt members who play that game mode
– Proven Stewards ~ Former Guild Leaders and inactive officers who may not have an active area of responsibility and may not have time to interact as much but who share the same rank and general authority as Stewards and act as trusted counselors.
– Artisans ~ Guild scribes responsible for the making and use of Guild Siege and Decorations.
– Devoted ~ WvW Veterans who assist our WvW Commanders in the placement of guild siege.
– Members ~ Active members of Salt
– Allies ~ Active members of Salt who primarily consider themselves members of a guild allied with Salt. (Allied guilds include but are not limited to Fire and WWJD)
